这部电影改编自 D. H. Lawrence 的小说《Lady Chatterley’s Lover》，或者更准确的说是改编自这本小说之前的第二版草稿《John Thomas and Lady Jane》。我这么没文化的人自然之前是没听过这小说，但据介绍说这小说曾经很有争议，主要原因之一是书里面对性爱露骨的描述。之前已经有过一部改编的电影，但据说这一次的更加遵从原著，电影受到不少好评，拿了5项法国电影最高奖凯撒奖，包括最佳影片和最佳女主角。决定去看之前我还犹豫了一下，毕竟这片子感觉上去会有点闷，而且还将近三小时长。看完之后的感觉，闷是有点闷的，长倒不觉的特别长。片子的拍摄手法整体比较复古，完全不用那些流行的技术，不搞任何特效，很多机身静止的镜头，看预告时我都觉得是部很老的片子。有一点差点忘了写，片子很多转场镜头，就直接黑屏用文字交代一些东西，其实我觉得挺有效，省得有些小东西还得拍几个无聊的镜头去说明。这片子很考验演员，我觉得女主角表现不错，她虽然不那么漂亮，但挺有味道，虽然我觉得她有时演得有点过于收敛。故事简单的说就是富家夫人爱上家里的猎场看守人，然后两人一起探索性，与爱。片子里几场做爱的场景挺有意思，比如时间，比如之后大睡，简单但却真实。是部还行的片子吧。

haha, you should by all means read this novel. i was so gripped and shaken by it when i read it as a sophomore (one of the pleasures of being an english major). it’s very gripping from the beginning. you would enjoy reading it. i can’t bear the thought of its adaptation into film. this book’s strong critique of intellectuality much dismayed me at that time, and has perhaps seeped into my unconscious as a continual challenge. if you read the beginning, you will see what i mean: Constance and her impotent husband walk into the woods:

‘Ravished is such a horrid word!’ she said. ‘It’s only people who ravish things.’
‘Oh, I don’t know…snails and things,’ he said.
‘Even snails only eat them, and bees don’t ravish.’
She was angry with him, turning everything into words. Violets were Juno’s eyelids, and windflowers were on ravished brides. How she hated words, always coming between her and life: they did the ravishing, if anything did: ready-made words and phrases, sucking all the life-sap out of living things.
