The Road Not Taken
By Robert Frost (1874-1963)

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

大概第一感觉他是选择了似乎更少人走的路,但是“Though as for that, the passing there / Had worn them really about the same / And both that morning equally lay / In leaves no step had trodden black.”

// March 19th, 2007 // 25 Comments » // Music & Show

Chris Garneau – We Don’t Try

// March 5th, 2007 // 20 Comments » // Music & Show

听着他唱着,“it’s easy if you cry, ’cause you feel bad for yourself”,听多了恐怕真的会掉出泪来。 而且pretend这个词一般来说对我就是有杀伤力的,just pretend that i’m not sad,我悲伤吗?

Chris Garneau – We Don’t Try

We Don’t Try

You say you wanna die,
’cause the things don’t work out right,
But you don’t even try,
though neither do i.

And neither do my friends,
though some of them pretend,
and it’s easy if you cry,
’cause you feel bad for yourself.

I think about my friend who died,
And how her kids didn’t get to say goodbye,
though neither did i,
no neither did i.

And neither did my friends,
though some of them pretend,
and it’s easy if you cry,
’cause you feel bad for yourself.

If you pretend everything’s fine,
i won’t hurt myself or lie,
to you or mom or dad,
just pretend that i’m not sad.

And we’ll work everthing out,
even all the stuff we don’t talk about,
it would be easier if we cried,
we’d feel bad for ourselves.

It’s supposed to snow tonight,
I hope the forecast is right,
’cause in the morning i sleep in till i like,
and if it snowed outiside it would feel so nice in here.

Patsy Cline – Crazy

Crazy

Crazy, I’m crazy for feeling so lonely
I’m crazy, crazy for feeling so blue
I knew you’d love me as long as you wanted
And then someday you’d leave me for somebody new

Worry, why do I let myself worry?
Wond’ring what in the world did I do?
Crazy for thinking that my love could hold you
I’m crazy for trying and crazy for crying
And I’m crazy for loving you

Crazy for thinking that my love could hold you
I’m crazy for trying and crazy for crying
And I’m crazy for loving you

What are you doing the rest of your life?

// February 14th, 2007 // 8 Comments » // Life, Music & Show

Snow Storm

I have only one request of your life, that you spend it all with me。 嗯,问一下你爱的人,what are you doing the rest of your life 吧。

Dusty Springfield – What Are You Doing The Rest Of Your Life?

What Are You Doing The Rest Of Your Life?

What are you doing the rest of your life?
North and south and east and west of your life
I have only one request of your life
That you spend it all with me

All the seasons and the times of your days
All the nickels and the dimes of your days
Let the reasons and rhymes of your days
All begin and end with me

I want to see your face
In every kind of light
In fields of dawn
And forests of the night
And when you stand before the candles on a cake
Let me be the one to hear the silent wish you make

Those tomorrow’s waiting deep in your eyes
And the world of love you keep in your eyes
I’ll awaken what’s asleep in your eyes
It may take a kiss or two

Through all of my life
Summer, winter, spring and fall of my life
All I ever will recall of my life
Is all of my life with you
